output volume pan discrepancy

PostWed Nov 10, 2021 2:19 am

greetings. I am a relatively new Resolve user - musician, familiar with Logic Pro...

I am seeing something I do not understand. In one project there is a quite noticeable difference in the stereo pan between the audio track itself and the Bus 1 output. All pan seetings I can find are zero'ed. I understand there is a workaround using the Stereo Fixer, but I don't understand why this is happening - what am I missing? I have not attempted to attach a screenshot before - I hope this works:

Here is one from a different file with, as far as I can tell, the same settings, but no pan discrepancy:

I would appreciate any insight into this.

many thanks

In the first Project, run tone through the path and confirm levels match from the source to the destination.

A link to the Project file (without media) may also be useful in diagnosing.

hi: thanks for the suggestions. For what it's worth, I found the problem went away when I moved the audio clip to a different track, and have not encountered the problem with other projects - must have been a freak problem with that one track.
