Yes, I see the same. It's specific to using a still image. Keyframing the Fusion Effect on video footage works fine, but trying it on a still image does nothing.
This is a bug. It's specific to Edit page keyframing of Fusion Effects on still images. If we edit the Fusion Effect (click the little Fusion icon in the Inspector) we can see that it doesn't have the keyframes you tried to set on Edit. If you then manually set keyframes in the Fusion page, they will work.
I'm pretty sure I remember this being reported before, a couple of months back, where the DVE effect was mentioned.
Workaround 1:
- Don't add the keyframes on Edit
- Instead click the Fusion button in the Inspector, and then add the keyframes in Fusion
- Then go back to the Edit page
- You will see the effect of the keyframes you added, but the Inspector will not update correctly for them.
Workaround 2:
- Make a Compound Clip out of the still image
- Then add the Fusion Effect to the Compound Clip, and now keyframing works as normal
Workaround 2 is probably best, because it preserves the ability to fully edit the effect on Edit.
