"Create subclip" shortcut in Live Media View not working

i'm on the Media page selecting good portions of the clips. Live Media View is awesome, it makes reviewing clips faster. i can select good fragments - just hover the mouse over their thumbnails and press keyboard shortcuts for setting In and Out. however, the "Create subclip" shortcut doesn't work in this situation. it works only when you click the Viewer. and that just kills the WHOLE PURPOSE for the Live Media View feature.
once i move the cursor away from the clip thumbnail to drag the clip from the Viewer, my In and Out are lost, of course, since that's how Live Media View works.
please, make the "Create subclip" shortcut work when hovering over clip thumbnails in the Media Storage tab!!! otherwise, that's super frustrating.
