Screen Recording of a DR video as you edit it

I Googled if you could record your screen as you edit a video in DR but the results indicated you can't. I have W10 and pressed the Windows key + G and then clicked the Record button to begin recording. I then pressed the Windows key + Alt + G to stop recording but it doesn't prompt you to whore you wish to save the recorded screen so I'm not sure if it does, in fact, record, where i would save the recording or even what format it would save the recording (AVI? .MP4?).

Has anyone used a Windows 10, free screen recording software to share DR editing steps?

I'm trying to convince a user to use DR for video edits!

Thank you!

I've done it using OBS Studio... works fine.

Does audio work correctly when using OBS, particularly within the Fairlight tab? I haven't ever recorded Resolve with OBS, but I know that it tends to be unable to get audio from DAWs. I'd imagine Fairlight does a lot of things similar to DAWs in terms of handling audio, so I'm curious if this is an issue with Resolve in the same way it also is with most DAWs.

I think you would better use another app like https://stork.ai/. It always works.

Use OBS or TunesKit Screen Recorder if you don't have much RAM.

I favor using hardware for screen capture you intend to edit. A Video Assist would work here.
