How to render every specific frames?

PostTue Dec 07, 2021 11:12 am

Hi guys.

Let’s say I need to render every 10 frames out of 2 minutes clip. How should I set up the render?
Thanks in advance.

It's a very unusual delivery requirement, so unsurprisingly theres no explicit built in function to do that.
You could probably script it if you're programatically inclined.
Otherwise a simple solution, if your need is to render every 10th frame as a still, would be to just render out the full 2 minutes as an image sequence, then discard every image produced that doesn't end with a '0'.
Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."

Go to the fusion page, add a Time Stretcher node, go to the inspector, right click on Source Time and select Expression, enter the following expression: time * 10

Since the clip will reach its end much sooner, you need to trim it on the edit page.

Or render it from the Fusion Page with a Saver node?
