17.4.2 Export Timeline does not work

On multiple attempts, exporting of a timeline failed to do anything other than return a blinking cursor.

Steps:
Select Timeline in the media pool (both icon view and list view)
File-export-timeline
pop out menu with export timeline option closes (also export bin is grayed out)

My solution was to uninstalling DRS 17.4.2 and install DRS 17.4.0, exporting of the timeline worked as expected.

Maybe the next version will remedy this issue.

I've just tested this and it worked without problems.
I didn't need to select the timeline in the media pool or anything in the timeline itself. I saved the .drt file to a convenient folder on the computer, created a new empty project in Resolve, and then imported the .drt file which opened straight away.

I've never tried it in the Media Pool, but it absolutely does work on the Edit Page. I've used it multiple times in the last 3 weeks and XML export is fine in 17.4.2 (at least on Mac OSX).

No problem here exporting and importing DRTs on either my Windows or Mac installs... recovered an old timeline from a backup using that method just last week.

I revisited my DRS 17.4.2 Timeline export issue, and was successful.

Strange to have experienced this issue on a new 12 core 3.7 Ghz/Geforce 3060/128 GB system.

Everyone thanks for taking the time to reply, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year.
