Crash while using Smooth Cut

Hi there,

A friend of mine whom I am getting into DaVinci is experiencing crashes while using the software.
One of those situations is while using Smooth Cut.

I am attaching a Log he generated.

Also, here are the specs of his machine:

Intel Core i7 3820
16 GB DDR3 800hz
Nvidia 2070 8 GB

Any further information I can provide for this matter?

How long is the smooth cut transition?

Smooth Cut is the standard duration.
It also happens while hovering over the Effect (while the Preview is generated)

What specific codec is the source material? We've generally had good luck with Smooth Cut and it's been a lifesaver under the right conditions. Worst case, you could try doing a Render In Place for both clips (with handles) and see if that makes any difference.
