Change sources of all marked clips?

Hi,

to speed up my workflow, I'd like to change the sources of all jpg-images used in my timeline and which I have selected. I'd like to point Resolve then to another folder, which contains the same amount of images but with a small addendum in their filename, because I processed them in an external graphic editor.
I would expect, to keep all clip durations and fades; that there's no need to re-build the whole timeline.

How can I do that? Is a script neccessary?

Yes, you should be able to do this. No scripting is necessary.
If you had created a new set of files with the same file names as the original then you would simply use “Change Source Folder” to link the new clip versions in place of the old ones... in this case though (with updated filenames), you'll want to try the 'Reconform from Bins' or 'Reconform From Media Storage' methods.

Please check the user manual, chapter 56, page 944 for detailed steps on the process.

Just have to find the right chapter: as I am on V15 the pages are different.

This works fabulous till now.

Just want to finish today but: failed totally:
"Failed to reconform timeline - The source media clips in the selected bins are not able to conform the timeline."
If I get "Reconform from Bins" to work, all clips are replaced by the one and only new clip which is ABC on 1st place.

Yesterday footage upscaled with AI-upscaler worked. File name extension was "-2x". "Reconform from Bins..." did its job within 2 chapters and over 45 different clips.

Using Topaz Gigapixel now - I tried 20x options and settings, either error or all replaced by one clip.
- Topaz changed the filesize drastically.
- in Topaz I had selected "Keep Metadata" on.
- The filename has the same extension "-2x".

What I am doing wrong? #inahurry

I like to keep things seperated, so for me it's a must to change filenames. I do several jobs (audio&video) together. If I search for these files again in some months, I'd like to know, which is the 5mp version and which the 5mp_2x upscaled immediately .

I really like to understand, why this command worked fine in the first place, but not in the 2nd.
