this is not correct

the information is in the meta data for every cinema camera,
and is shown in resolve.

mirrorless or DSLR hybrid cameras usually do not store this information
in the video files which are highly compressed MPEG devirates.

which camera are you talking about?

Unfortunately, not all cameras are created equal.

Professional cameras store much more metadata than commodity mirrorless/DSLRs.

The latter don't usually store metadata for either timecode or ISO or whatever else. Just live with it as it is. DaVinci will show (and utilize) whatever metadata has been given to it in the input, but there is no way to guess anything that wasn't present in the input.

There is a free online tool called" Jeffrey Friedl's Image Metadata Viewer", which will show you everything it finds in metadata. You'll surprised how much is there, but DR is not reading all of that for every camera.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

It doesn't take RAW from movie cameras, only from photographic stills.
But anyway, my bad, I didn't remember correctly how I used it to collect data. At the time, I used to make a still with the same settings like used for the clip and analysed that if needed. It's not that easy any more, since cameras like the Nikon Z6/7 or the canon R6 separate the settings and copying those takes time and is error-prone.
So, if someone knows a better tool, please point to it. This is a small part of the info from an R6, but it goes on for dozens of pages.

Thank you very much for all replies.

Now I understand that the files of many cameras do not contain the data.

The Camera I checked was DH5S and EOS R5 (not RAW).
