VSTs won't load in Fairlight

Hi all, I'm very new to Resolve. I have the latest version 17.4 (I checked for updates, it said there were none).

When I try to add certain VSTs to an audio track in Fairlight, some of them simply don't load (nothing happens). A few DO load but for example RX 8 (iZotope) does not, which is pretty important to my workflow.

Is there a log file or some other way I can diagnose this issue? All my VSTs are found by Resolve and are located in folders and subfolders at `C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\`.

Are the VST2.4 versions exhibiting the same issue or VST3 format only?

Do the Fairlight AFX plugins load correctly?

Are the plugins instantiated as Clip Effects or Track inserts?

I don't normally keep VST2 versions installed on my PC (my DAW is Cubase, so VST3 works fine) but I installed Fabfilter Pro-C's VST2 variant and that loads fine. So it seems to be something about VST3.

Fairlight's built-in plugins load fine.

I'm instantiating the plugins as track inserts.
