How to insert blank space on a timeline?

PostMon Jan 17, 2022 2:21 am

At the risk of being proven to be a newbie and an idiot, I am forced to ask this body if experienced experts how to do the simplest of tasks. I’m an experienced FCP user, but I’m TRYING in good faith to transition over to Resolve17. I shoot & distribute dance recital videos…
I have a DaVinci-formatted project, live-switched and streamed through our new ATEM Mini ISO Pro.
I’ve opened that project on the timeline, and have it open on the Cut Page.
I’ve razored the timeline, and used OptionY to select everything downstream.
But I can NOT figure out how to move everything on the timeline together. If I position my cursor at the razor line and click, my OptionY selection goes away and I’m back to selecting a single track.
Any help is appreciated.

Note: Running paid version DaVinci Resolve17.4.3 Build 10, on a MacBook Air, 13” Retina with 1.1 GHz Quad-core Intel i5; 8gb RAM, 500 gb HDD, and a 2 TB portable SSD T5
