error message - intel Hardware accelerateddecode....

PostTue Jan 18, 2022 1:50 am

on start up i get after most recent Davinci Resolve update.

"intel hardware accelerated decode and encode have
been disabled as the current Intel graphics driver
is not compatible with DaVinci Resolve. Please update
your drivers to enable this feature."

I have the lastest drivers for everything...

currently it wont let me render, it just crashes...

any suggestions besides trying to go back to previous version?

There have been various threads on this. I think all of them have turned out to be the user didn't have the latest drivers.

Current Intel driver is

30.0.101.1191

If you're on a laptop you can try going to the Intel website and downloading it . Laptops often won't show you the latest drivers. Plus Microsoft tends to lag if you're getting drivers using Windows.

Same issues with a desktop just less risk of customs drivers shipping with the computer.

UPDATE:

I updated Davinci Resolve, and then reinstalled the intel driver, problem solved...

Return to DaVinci Resolve
