Exporting still in lower resolution?

PostWed Jan 19, 2022 6:49 am

Hey guys. I use DaVinci Resolve to make thumbnails for my YouTube videos, which I currently do by going to the color correction tab, grabbing the still and exporting it as a png. The problem is that YouTube only accepts 1280x720 resolution (or lower) for thumbnail uploads, requiring me to scale down the picture outside of resolve. Is there something simple I could do to have DaVinci Resolve export the stills at 1280x720 without changing the timeline resolution/other big changes? Thank you.

You could temporarily switch the timeline to that resolution. Just don’t forget to switch back before final render.
