'postgres' Default Password

I just installed the Project Server 17.4 on a MacOS system. I wanted to manually edit the pg_hba.conf file (to include clients logging via our VPN which has a different subnet than where our SQL is located) so I tried to log in as "su - postgres" in Terminal. But the password "DaVinci" doesn't seem to work. Has this changed in 17.4?
