Hello I recently upgraded davinci resolve to 17.4.3 and sense I have had extremely lagy timeline playback.

Nothing has changed for my PC specs.

i7 8700k
RTX 2070
16 GB RAM 3200mhz
Windows 10
Free version of Davinci

I did recently do a bios flash.

I have tried pulling raw footage from a hard drive and SSD but have the same problem

I have tried every tip in a ton of videos on YouTube with optimized media and proxies and nothing helps.

The above tips actually made it worse.

I have no idea what's wrong please help

I am having the same problem in 17.4.2, it worked fine before.
I usualy edit directly from a sandisk extreme pro external SSD without a problem, but now I am wondering if it would help to install an extra internall SSD for editing only. In a way I doubt it, since the Sandisk extreme has a read speed of 2000 Megabytes per seconde trough USB3.
