Keyframe Editor In Resolve/Fusion 17.4.3 Not Working At All

PostMon Jan 24, 2022 6:00 pm

After having used Resolve 16 Studio without any issues whatsoever on a Macbook Pro for the occasional quick edit, I unfortunately did a dumb thing today and installed Resolve 17.4.3 - BIG MISTAKE!!

The Keyframe editor in Fusion (page) doesn't work at all, not even the keyframe editor UI builts itself correctly. It takes about a minute to even become visible, but remains totally not useable thereafter. The only way to get out of this mess is to forcequit the application. However, the Spline editor seems to show without any hickups.

Also it is impossible to make any adjustments to keyframes on the edit page. Resolve immediately quits.

What's the take? I even uninstalled and re-installed, but no change at all. Has anybody else made the same or similar experiences?

Can anybody pretty please send me a Resolve 16 installer? I unfortunately didn't keep a back-up. Many thanks in advance for the effort!

Without any information about your hardware, it's impossible to find an explanation.
But all the older installers are on the support page (left column, scroll down).
I hope you made a backup of your old database as per Readme.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Thanks for the reply and the pointer to the support page. Didn't cross my mind for some reason that installers of older versions are actually there.... I will Install V16 again and see if it makes a difference, or if I have broken something else and just need to set up a fresh system, which could well be the case.

And YES, I did make a backup of my databases (thank god!) and reconnecting to them works like a charm.
