High End System - DR Stutters

PostTue Jan 25, 2022 10:54 pm

I tried to post a split screen video to show what I'm talking about but the forum would not let me.

Davinci Resolve 17 Studio version.

Half resolution, generated media, and all the other tricks to stop this issue and it still does it in Windows 10 and Linux Mint 20.
System is Intel 9 CPU, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD (Win10) 2 TB SSD (Linux Mint), Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 ti w/8 GB RAM.

I'm at my wit's end. I've tried everything suggested and DR still does this. It shouldn't be my system but I'm open to ideas at this point.

Where is the media located and how fast is the pipe?

Media is on SSD drive and the pipe bottleneck would be the RAM at 2666 mhz.

It's looking like this was a frame rate issue. DR defaults to 24 but I film and render in 30 fps.

Once I set everything to match and changed the default to the usual 30 fps I use most the time everything smoothed out.
