Simple flicker transition with 1 cut?

PostWed Jan 26, 2022 1:29 pm

I am looking for basic back-and forth flicker of a cut without any additional effects.

Does anybody know if that exists?

Manually making the flicker transition by chopping up a clip is not the way to go, although that's the type of tutorials you get when searching for it...

You can add any transition, then right-click it and choose Convert to Fusion Cross Dissolve. Then open it in the Fusion tab from the Inspector. Open the CrossDissolve group and select the Dissolve node. Right-click the Background/Foreground and choose Remove AnimCurves1. You can now keyframe the flicker between each clip by keyframes.

If you want to create your own transition that you can reuse, you might want to keep the AnimCurves modifier and do it from there, but for occasional use this should work.

Thank you! That works, I can add keyframes to the transition and make it flicker this way! 8-)
I've made a transition preset and now it's a fast workflow!
I can't export the preset it seems else I would've attached it here.
