Studio in Linux asks for activation on every launch

PostThu Jan 27, 2022 2:11 am

I'm using Resolve on EndeavourOS (Arch based) and it runs fine, but there's an issue with activation.
It's not the normal one, that people run into, where it can't activate.. I know how to clear that out and activate the software.

The problem is that it's not saving the activation.
I'll launch it, put in my activation and use it just fine.
Then when I shut down and launch it the next time, it asks for activation again.
After two times I have to boot into Windows, activate it then de-activate it, then boot back into Linux to put in the activation code.

I can't figure out why it's not saving the activation state after putting in the code and having it successfully log in.

I've used it before, on a Debian based distro, and didn't have this issue but that was a while ago and I'd rather not have to move away from Arch.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Hi Steve

When starting Resolve the next time, can you go to the help menu, create diagnostic logs and pass a shareable link to the archive so we can take a look?

Please also post as much additional context as you think is helpful - like the Resolve version, whether you ran the linux installer from the BMD site directly, whether you run it as an admin user, disks and folder permissions.

I'm not familiar with Endeavour OS, so please do err on the side of more info.

Thanks
Shrinivas
