How to upgrade to 18?

Hi, I’ve been trying to upgrade to DaVinci 18 but I’m only being offered 17.4.6. I’ve had 17.4.3 for maybe three months. Don’t understand why I’m not being offered the latest upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.

18 i still in beta-testing phase meaning that you should not use it for critical work. A beta test version may still contain bugs, some functions will not work fully, it might even fail in your project and so on. The update is additionally sort of one-way for your projects, it is possible if you prepare for it to go back to 17 but not totally easy. The update function in DR will suggest 18 once it is fully ready. Meanwhile it will update to 17 versions.

Resolve 18 basically overwrites your 17 install. What happened to me.

That's actually true for all version of Resolve. You can install only one version at a time.

I’m confused. I had 17.4.3. I downloaded the new version 17.4.6 and it downloaded fine, but while that download is in my Download File when I go to Program Files it seems to have the old 17.4.3 version because it lists the date of install as December which is when I originally downloaded DA and the 17.4.3 version. It seems the newly loaded download did not replace my old one. Any thoughts? Thanks for any help.

Sorry everyone, I thought I had unzipped my download but evidently I didn’t. It’s now unzipped and has been installed. Sorry for wasting your time. Thanks
