Sync Audio metadata from Resolve to AVID

We are currently using a Resolve to Avid workflow where the assistant editing is being done in Resolve for editing in AVID Media Composer. We have been doing pretty well except for one thing:

The metadata in the ALE for "sync audio" inputs the entire file path of each audio clip into Avid as the file name, meaning we have to delete the file path for each individual clip within AVID, leaving the audio name.

An example of this issue can be found in this video (timestamped), with this persons solution being to 'find and replace' in notepad after the metadata import.

However, we want to avoid the Assistant Editors going into AVID as we only have one licence for it for the first editor and can only do that while she's away, so is there a way we can get the metadata from Resolve to translate the sync audio to AVID as a file name rather than a file path?

Thanks in advance

If you edit the ALE txt file, like the video suggests, it would be done without editing in Avid. You can automate this using python or even using a text editor for coders.

The only thing that a sound editor needs, assuming its a poly wave BWF, its the tape + TC metadata to conform the audio files. So, the bigger feature request here would be that Resolve treats the TAPE column like it should. It's a bit messy in this dept. It's only thing that Avid does and its simple/sufficient for the audio workflow. Mind you the TAPE column is in the iXML of the BWF file.
