How to save some effects as preset from specific clip?

PostSun May 22, 2022 11:16 am

Dear community,
I usually add same effects to 'audio clip' in Fairlight. Lets say 'Noise Reduction + EQ + Deesser + Limiter" for vocal.
Please pay attention, it added to 'audio clip', not to 'audio track'.
Is it possible to save these effects as preset so i can use it later?
---
by the way, if these effects not added to 'audio clip', but added to 'audio track' we can save as preset from Fairlight menu -> Preset Library -> Save New. But i can not figure out how to save if the effect added to the 'audio clip'.
Thanks.

Presets are not currently available via the Clip Index panel's Effects tab, only presets for individual plugin instances may be stored via the plugin's respective preset management systems.

A feature request for Inspector Presets has previously been added in the DaVinci Resolve Feature Requests sub-forum, so add your voice to that thread rather than starting a new one.

There is no way as far as I know, you have to use the following workaround:

To save effects:
1. Add a dummy audio clip to the timeline
2. Add audio effects to the clip
3. Drag the audio clip inside a power bin and give it a descriptive name.

To use the saved effects:
1. Drag the audio clip from the power bin to the timeline
2. Copy the audio clip and then delete it
3. Select the clips you want to apply the effects, right click -> Paste Attributes
4. Enable the "Audio Attributes -> Plugins" checkbox and click Apply.

There is a Master Bus in audio, you can drag your effect chain into that one and that should apply to all if not mistaken.
