NVIDIA Workstation with AMD Render Server

I'm trying to find a way to get hardware accelerated rendering/exports/delivery on my server which has a 6800xt, while my workstation has an RTX 3080. The delivery tab on the workstation machine only gives the nvidia encoder as option and I can't see how to trigger VCE on the amd machine.

Is there a way to do this?

Evidently not. Wouldn’t that be nice.

Workaround involves opening the project on opposite machine to do the render. Fine for my office where they are collocates currently but not ideal.
