I was in the color window using version 4 of release and found I couldn't resize any of the panels on the Color window.

The only ones that can are above the Clips. That relevant at all?

OK.

What happens when you try? Do you get the proper icon when you hover at the edge? Is Display Scaling set to 100%?

Thanks for the reply.

Mine is set at the recommended 250%. When I lower it to 100%, I need a magnifying glass to read my laptop screen - no kidding. Why shouldn't it work at the resolution recommended for my laptop?

I admit that my DR screen is blown up big time but if I change the resolution for just the DR app then all my other stuff will look tiny. A dilemma.

Have attached both screen shots if you can come up with a solution.

Thank you

If I go down from 250 to 225% then I can adjust the panels. I have attached the screen shot at 225%. Looks like I will have to live with that.

Display Scaling should always be set to 100%. If things are too small when you do that, then you need a larger display.

I recommend a 27" at 1440 resolution at a minimum.

As there are no Laptops with such a display, and for other reasons, there are no Laptops suitable for this work.

You need a Desktop.

Could you explain why display scaling should always be at 100%?
I've read this statement from you several times now but I can't quite understand why. Maybe I'm missing something. Is it because the program monitor is then not displayed pixel perfect? Then at least the UI should be scalable.
I agree that Resolve is best run on a desktop, but a lot of people work with laptops (or both). It may be necessary to do some non-resource intensive pre-work on the go or to check shots on set.
It can't be that you have to buy different hardware when every other modern software doesn't have this problem.
If Bob sets his scaling to 100%, he can no longer use his laptop. And all this because of a single piece of software.

Resolve doesn't handle high DPI in Windows very well and apparently it only supports 100% or 200% (and I believe this comes from BMD, although also from personal experience). It is certainly a weakness in the Resolve Windows implementation. Seems to be much better at scaling on a Mac.
