DR b4/b5 install issues

Transfer to new PC. DR b3 works fine but:

DR b4 and b5 will not install ... "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."

asks for an alternate path (which I browse to):
C:\Users\Valued Customer\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS84A6E31D\ResolveInstaller.msi

but then message is: ...not a valid installation package...

and: The older version of Davinci Resolve cannot be removed.
Contact your technical support group.

Any thoughts appreciated.

You're using a local, Admin level User Account? (Not an MS account?)

Uninstall issues like this can normally be solved with a Microsoft FixIt app that helps with un-installing apps in this situation. The app is here:

Run the app, It will do a detecting problems step. If that doesn't find anything, and it normally doesn't, then it asks if you have a problem installing or uninstalling an app. Select Uninstalling.

It will provide a list of apps. Select DaVinci Resolve, then Next. Then select "Yes, try uninstall".

Hopefully that will solve the issue for you. It should not impact any of your existing projects and settings.

Thanks to Jim and Dwaine my issue has been "resolved."
