Importing (DPX) 10K over scanned image -software to crashed

PostThu Jun 30, 2022 4:58 am

Hi,

Need help.

The following configuration results in software crashes when importing (DPX) 10K over scanned images.

This problem does not occur when copying the same file to another external drive.

The hardware specs :
Workstation – Mac Pro with Afterburner card x2 running
Davinci 17.4 Studio Version
Storage Unit – Synology NAS (SA3400) – 2 GB/s Performance - 12 x 16 TB SAS HDD drives
Connection – 6 Port Mellanox SN2100 40 Gb/s Network switch
Cards – 40/25/10 Gb/s PCiE Dual Network Cards – Mellanox Connect X-4 EN for Windows Machine (Scanner workstation) and comparable for MAC Pro

Moreover, I used a different program - Scratch assimilate, which allows me to render files at 3.5 frames per second.

We do not experience this issue when reading from another disk other than the storage.

Blackmagic RAW speed test shows everything is perfect in Disk Speed-Wright (1287.1MB/s) and
Read (3121.1MB/s). (8K CPU - 103FPS & 8K METAL - 269 FPS)

We'd appreciate your input.

You didn't read the FAQ, specifically the section about logs: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190

Logs
DaVinci Resolve has a function to generate diagnostic logs that can be analysed to look for problems. It is important to get the logs from DaVinci Resolve, generated immediately after a crash. OS generated diagnostics and logs are of little use. Please post a link to these logs on the forum - this will often give others a chance to assist you. If you are unable to post a link, put a space in the path so the forum doesn't think its a link, eg. my logsarehere. com

You can grab logs by restarting DaVinci Resolve and choosing “Create Diagnostic Logs on Desktop” from the Help menu.
If you have automatic crash reporting enabled, adding your contact details and description would help us contact you if we need further details.

If you cannot launch DaVinci Resolve after a crash, please follow the steps below:

Mac OS:
In Finder, select "Go to Folder..." (⇧⌘G by default), type the path /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/ and hit Enter. Run the CaptureLogs application.

Windows:
Go to C:/Program Files/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/ and run CaptureLogs.bat application

Linux:
From the Applications menu, under DaVinci Resolve, select DaVinci Resolve Capture Logs

Note: Additional information - including the NFO file for Windows users and the SPX file for MacOS - is often useful. Please check the Posting on the forum section on how to obtain this information.
