Timelines being erased

PostSat Jul 02, 2022 1:54 pm

This is the second time this has happened to me. I spend hours editing two timelines in a single project. I then click the Delivery page to render, configure the render, (YouTube 710p), but the "Add to Render Queue" is greyed out. I go back to the Edit page and the timeline is blank. All of the media I used still exists in the pool, but both timelines are blank.

I've tried restarting Resolve, I've tried restoring backups, but even if I find a backup with a timeline in it, as soon as I try to render, the timeline goes blank.

Can u take a phone video of the repo? Will this type of report and millions of users not seeing this we r looking for a different workflow process that’s causing u to get to this state as we can’t repo.

Yes, Live Save is on. Could that be part of the problem?

It is so inconsistent and I doubt I could capture the event, but I will try.

Personally, I've been using Resolve since v. 16 and I was wondering if anyone else had encountered it.

Sounds like you're actually working in a Multicam or a Compound clip, which can be opened in a timeline, but which themselves aren't actual timelines and thus can't be used as source material for the Render Queue.

If you add those clips to a real timeline, you can proceed.
