Adjustment Clip Starting Number on Upgraded Projects in 18

PostTue Jul 26, 2022 7:41 am

So there was an issue previous to Resolve 18 where adjustment clips opened in the Fusion Page would have a starting number somewhere like 80000 or so, changes depending on the framerate of your timeline, etc. There was a workaround, where when you dragged the Adjustment Clip into the media pool, and then back in your timeline, it would display the frame number correctly, starting from 0.

It looks like it has been fixed in Resolve 18, where you can just drag in a new Adjustment Clip and it will start from the correct frame number of 0, but it only does this in newly created projects. I have a number of projects that were made in Resolve 17, and when I tried adding an adjustment clip, not only does it still do the incorrect frame number, but it doesn't fix itself like you could in the previous version with the Media Pool, meaning it's stuck at the incorrect values with no way to fix it.

Is there any workaround or fix anyone has found, or has anyone else encountered the same issue?

Try importing the .drp into a new Library created in version 18.

That failing, try doing the same with .drt files.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I have the same issue, and can confirm that creating a .drp file in v18 doesn't fix it.
