File Transfer

PostSun Aug 07, 2022 8:03 pm

I just installed version 18.0.1 and editied a video in 4K. The footage is located on an external SSD and I saved the project also on the external SSD. Backed up the project also. I am not able to render the 18min video with my newly aquired computer, obviously not good enough, it is crashing around the 30% mark.
How can I tranfer the project to another better computer and open and edit and also render it there??
Where are the backup files stored?
Any help is welcome an appreciated. Thanks.

You'll only need your originals and the exported .drp file.
As an alternative, you can export an archive and tell DR to relink it.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

Thanks for the input.
Sorry to ask again but I´m really a beginner here. I found a .drp file - so how do I import this file to DR on the other computer? In other words how to open the editing work on the other computer? The file is 364 KB, does this sound right? Of course I have to connect the external SSD where the video files are located.
I also don´t find the function to export an archive. When I open the file menue DR offers "Export Project..." which exports a .drf file.

Just drag and drop that .drp on the Project Manager of a Resolve where you want to import the project.

Sorry for reporting back late. I figured that out and it worked perfectly. Meanwhile I was busy editing a video and so almost forgot to say thanks for your inputs.
