FCP X XML to Resolve creates compound clips - no decompose

PostWed Aug 10, 2022 12:11 pm

I've been sent an XML from FCP X.

Most clips come in as compound clips - even though apparently the FCP X editor didn't use compound clips or multicam.

I can right click on them and choose Open in Timeline and see the original clips.

I can't decompose them - it is not listed when I right click.

The reason I need to is that I'm trying to get the timeline into Premiere and at the moment both XML and AAF and EDL all fail from Resolve to Premiere and I think this is why.
