Resolve 18.0.3 update wont open past splash screen

As the topic says, for some strange reason 18.0.3 wont open on my machine even when the versions just prior worked perfectly. I will go to open the application, the splash screen will show and state it is loading, then will just stop, splash screen will disappear and nothing progresses.

I am currently using:

OS: Windows 10
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor, 3401 Mhz, 16 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s)
GPU: NVidia 3070TI

So I doubt the hardware is an issue. I have generated the Resolve logs and those can be found here:

Please also provide a Windows System Information .NFO file.

Open the Windows System Information app, and select it's File menu, then select Save. That will generate the .NFO file.

I have a similar set up and no problems with 18.0.3 (I am going to regret saying that)

Sometimes I very rarely have the same problem and I find a hard reboot of the PC solves the problem. That or re-run the update.

Please also provide a Windows System Information .NFO file.

Go into Windows Settings - Apps & features, and select DaVinci Resolve Control Panels, then select Uninstall.

Now Resolve should launch.

Hopefully you don't have any physical Resolve control panels that require the control panels app.
