Auto aligned based on waveform doesn't work anymore

I noticed that auto align based on waveform doesn't work anymore on 18.0.3. The results are always wrong. Does anyone have the same problem? Is this a known bug for this version ?

Which method is used?

Clip menu > Auto Align Clips or the Media Pool's "Auto Sync Audio" function?

I have the same problem after installing 18.04. Even in older projects where it used to work without problems it doesn't work anymore. The system doesn't even analyze the clips anymore. I tried two clips with the same waveform and it still failed. (see screenshot)
I tried all methods in the cut page and also in the edit page. I even went back to 18.01 and it still doesn't work.
Can anybody help?
I'm on Wondows 11 with a GeForce GTX 1050
