I can't get my media added from my PC to Davinci resolve 18.

I just downloaded it and now I can't get any media from my windows 11 dell computer to DaVinci.

Do you have any tips? I've looked at a ton of videos and blogs and tried things from those but still nothing.

How are you trying to add the media?
Do you use the top left window in the Media tab and pull them into the Media Pool?

Are you using the free or Studio version of Resolve?

If you are using the free version, there are some codecs it does not support, like 10 bit H.265.

As Uli suggests, if you select the Resolve Media page, and select the media location in the Media Storage area in the upper left, what do you see? If you see no files when you select a folder in Media Storage that you know files are in, that's an indicator that Resolve does not support those files. If you see only audio for the files and not the video, that's an indicator that the video codec is not supported, as would be typical in the free Resolve version with 10 bit H.265 files.
