Turn off waveform generation?

Is there a way to turn off waveform generation in the Edit page?

I have some very long live clips and whenever I load them Resolve takes over the RAID in what I think is the generation of audio waveforms. It takes a long time and I don't really need them.

Is there any way to stop it or turn it off?

Have you tried the button in the upper left of the timeline, called “timeline view options”.

Yes that turns of the viewing of them in the timeline but doesn't seem to stop the generation of them on long clips.

Might not be the waveforms. I believe Resolve will convert all imported audio to 32-bit Float for internal processing.

Not sure that can be disabled.
