Speed Change is blacked out?

Hello.

I want to adjust the speed of an audio clip but the option for it is blacked out and I have no idea why.

Googling isn't helping so I figured to ask.

What type of file is it?

Try ctrl-R, or left clicking and selecting change speed from the menu. Are all of them disabled?

I’ve never tried to speed change just an audio file before. But there are multiple ways to change clip speeds in resolve.

It's just an audio clip.

What is CTRL+R supposed to do because it does nothing for me.

Speed Change is a Video adjustment. Can't be done on audio only.

Even though the on/off button is not available, the speed function works on both video and audio clips.

As a workaround, rewrap your file as a mp4 or mov or something and just make the video opacity 0% or out it on a lower layer.

Alternatively use a separate DAW to do the retiming. I think audacity probably does this
