Clip usage in media pool: How to locate timeline?

PostThu Sep 29, 2022 8:09 pm

I have a project with over 50 timelines. A clip in the media pool can't be found and I want to see if it's something I really need, or if I have another version of it somewhere that I can substitute. The media pool "usage" column says it's used twice. Since it isn't used in the currently open timeline, the usage list isn't available. How do I determine which timeline(s) use the unlinked clip?

Right click on the clip should offer a Usage option in the menu, which specifies where.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

That only works if I have already found - and opened - a timeline where the clip is used. My question is: how do I find which timelines a clip is used in?

I don't think it's possible to find in closed timelines.

Yeah, it looks like that only works for the currently active timeline.

Sorry.
