Fusion transition with "sidechain" input

I'm making transitions that work using the pixel data in the various images, but I'm wondering if there's a way to set it up so that I can use a third image as the one driving the transition, rather than either of the images that are actually seen. Is it possible to create a transition macro that works this way?
