Fairlight Suggestions

PostTue Oct 04, 2022 4:23 pm

Hello!,

I have a few suggestions for the Fairlight page. I have been using Fairlight in class as an instructor for Podcast production but there are a few small annoyances.

-Reset UI Layout hides the Media Pool by default. Students need the Media Pool open to manage assets and timelines

-Microphone patching is overly complicated. Consider a default stance to take input 1 on the system to be automatically patched and ready to record-arm, rather than patching manually each track each time.

-Add a "Add Tracks" panel in the menubar, rather than having to right click in the tracks panel.

Thanks for the tip, auto patching (when enabled in preferences) works great!
