Brand new to DaVinci Resolve and I'm in the process of migrating from previously using Cyberlink.
Looking for some input on a glitch I've run into when importing video files.
Clips from my GoPro 10 / Mavic Air 2 have imported just fine. A handful (but not all) from my Panasonic Lumix S5, however, show artefact bars of varying colour when previewed in the media pool - as shown in the image.
All files from this camera were shot at 4k/50p 10-bit and are in .mp4 containers. Compressed with HEVC, ain10@L5.1@High. None of the originals display these errors and I've seen no issues in Cyberlink PowerDirector. Relinking / removing and re-adding the files doesn't do anything.
Running on Windows 11 (latest major update) with the HEVC codecs installed.
I was previously running the latest version of the NVidia Game Ready drivers, but still have no luck after rolling back to the Studio drivers.
After a lot of digging around I'm now aware of the concept of editing codecs, and have confirmed that the problem files work without a problem when converted to CineForm Film Scan - and are duly converted to 8 bit files.
Is this related to the Lumix S5 files being 10bit? This would seem odd though - as wouldn't all the files be similarly affected?
