Hi Rick, what are your system specs? I haven't tried this recently - wondering why this is happening. Disappointing, really.

I upgraded my 2020 M1 laptop yesterday to Ventura, specifically so I could use the Voice Isolation and Dialogue Leveller in 18.1.3 to process some imperfect VO recordings... I was very disappointed when the playback sounded great in the timeline but the exports were unusable. I ended up having to use Adobe's 'Enhance' service... final result wasn't as good as the playback I was getting in Resolve, but the export was clean and usable.

Wasn't this a bug in 18.1 that was fixed in 18.1.1? Maybe it's a glitch in the matrix?

Who knows Steve... I wasn't able to use Voice Isolation before as my lowly 2020 M1 MacBook Pro was running Big Sur, which is apparently incompatible with the function. Last night was my first experience with it. Maybe next time will be better.
Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."

I was just 'fixing' some old VHS video from 1990.
Voice Isolation worked great removing the very loud tape hiss.
And the AI is much snappier on my new computer.
Hardware is just now catching up to what Resolve can do (depth map/magic mask/etc)
Be nice if the audio cached like a fusion clip?

I agree, I love these effects but editing with them is bordering on unusable. It plays back sometimes, not others. It's pretty terrible. We need track based cache or something to fix these issues.

It feels like this was some AI generated reply to a different problem than what was discussed in this thread.

As a long time Reaper user, I find this bug (among a few others) absolutely maddening! COME ON! Fairlight & Resolve audio, the stuff of nightmares (OMG, I just can't - cough).

That said, I just do everything utilitarian in DAW and pull it into Resolve (which is silly at this point for basic stuff). I've had more audio related issues with Resolve than any other NLE or DAW (regardless of audio hardware, it's connectivity, system hardware, configuration, etc).

Look, I'm not expecting Farlight or Resolve to have the functionality of a full dedicated daw, but I do require it to at least perform & do so consistently. I can't speak for most, but I work in a TC environment and most of the wastage right now is coming from Resolve d*cking with workarounds or other silly stupid sh*t that shouldn't have passed QC and released (sorry, not being mean - just venting frustration).

vent aside, I hope everyone has a good week.
