New V.18 behavior? keyboard up arrow goes to previous clip

PostMon Nov 28, 2022 4:51 am

There seems to be a new editorial behavior that I find very problematic. (maybe in all of 18 releases - haven't used it before 18.1 - was on 17)

When in the Viewer, the keyboard up arrow doesn't bring you back to the beginning of the clip, as it did previously, it brings you to the previously used clip.

While it's nice we can get to previously used clips using a pull down, I personally find the arrow up to be a bad choice for being back to previous clips.

The down arrow brings you to the end of the clip, so that's inconsistent.

Anyone else notice this? Is there a way to defeat this previously clip action?

Support for loading previous or next clip via source viewer actions.

You can still use Home and End to go to the start or end of the viewer extents, and Up and Down to preview the previous or next media.

If this is not the behavior you see, please add more information.

I'm seeing the behavior as Shrinivas describes.

I like it. :)
