Audio Playback Problems in 18.1.1

PostWed Nov 30, 2022 1:47 am

About half the times I start Resolve, I get no audio playback on any page. Nothing I do seems to bring it back except saving the project, closing Resolve, and restarting it. The meters all show that a signal is present, but nothing gets to the speakers.

I have similar issues. My audio plays but cuts in and out during playback. It's not all the time but random.
I thought it had something to do with voice iso or leveler but I am not sure.

it could be VST related. disabling and re enabling the plugin may fix it. Fairlight audio engine had a massive upgrade in DR18 and some creases could be ironed out in the coming releases.
what are your bus settings, stereo, 5.1 Atmos.

Steven, I'd update the Nvidia driver. Your 472.47 driver is quite old and may have some bearing on the audio playback problem. A clean install of the current driver version which is 526.98 may help.

I am experiencing similar audio problems, as I have described in my post here:

I see that you have a Motu M2 audio interface like me, I am wondering if there is some incompatibility with that specific hardware and Davinci Resolve?

Did your Motu M2 work without issues in earlier versions of Resolve?

I have a similar problem I am using a Mac with a MOTU 828es with either FireWire or AVB, I get a audio out but no input, all settings have been tried selecting the MOTU or using system setting but nothing, I need to do some ADR and would like to use my own gear, I’ve borrowed an Appolo Satellite which works fine, having said that the MOTU can be a pain to mount using the discovery tool.
