iPhone 13pro .heic color distortion in DR

I've recently tried importing .HEIC pictures into DR v18/v17 (Mac Ventura).
Some .HEIC files (took by iPhone 13pro) looks washed out with wrong color watermark. It seems like color mapping error.
Not all .HEIC files looks wrong, just some, don't see any pattern.

Tested the same on M1 CPU and Intel CPU, all the same.

Please comment,

I'm finding the same behaviour in Studio 18.6.6 (build 7).

It looks like the example shared here:

What is the source color space and gamma is being detected by DR for the video?

I have the same problem with Resolve after upgrading to 18.6.4 Build 6 and macOS Sonoma 14.5, but can't tell which is responsible - I suspect the update of macOS based on other posts.

e.g.

I'm not sure where Davinci detects or sets the color space for still images - but I played around with the Color Space and Transforms in the project settings and it made no difference to the thumbnails in the media pool, or to clips already on the timeline.

Any ideas what I should be looking at?

I opened the HEIC file with the "MediaInfo" app and was surprised to see it actually has 51 different image components. The first two are:

Not sure if this helps!
