Allowed Codes for linux free version

I'm testing out the free version of DaVinci Resolve on Linux, and apparently I can only import .mp3 sound files ( .opus files don't play or show a waveform )
I CAN'T FIND ANY VIDEO FORMATS THAT WILL WORK IN THE MEDIA BIN.

This is confusing and frustrating and seems like a missed opportunity to upsell - if it's intentional and not a broken install it should acknowlege the input and say "format not supported in free version" .

Is there a list of what formats WILL work on Linux in free version?

You clearly do not understand the Black Magic Mentality. You are a Professional, You should KNOW what codecs are supported without the software having to babysit you with user friendly error messages.

This is a common and consistent shortcoming with this software. I honestly don't know how BM justifies it to themselves that simply throwing red frames or ignoring files is the correct response for unsupported codecs.
