PostMon Jan 23, 2023 10:40 am

Dear all.
Some days ago, i have read a person here has trick of how to get back magic mask when its data lost. But i forget to bookmark it.
And today, i lost all of my magic mas in my project, and i don't know why. As i remember i never touch node that contain magic mask, never copy paste clip, never compound clip, never change scale or position of clip. But i just export archived it. And today i open it and all of magic mask lost.

If you do a lot of long clips with these masks, you might do yourself a favor by exporting them once your happy with them. I mean export only the mask as black & white (node > Add Alpha Output) and then import it using the Media Storage panel by right-clicking and choosing "Add to Media Pool as a Matte".

Read more about it in the manual for details.

Then on the original clip on the color page, without a Magic Mask node, right-click a node and select Add Matte and select the matte file you imported. Now you're using your rendered mask instead.
