How to play oppacity in Composite Mode 'Add'

PostSat Jan 28, 2023 10:02 am

Dear all,
Today, i always use Light Leaks (Film Burn) as my transition. But, sometimes my light leak are too heavy, i need to change oppacity of it to make it more artistic.
I see playing oppacity with Composite mode 'Add' doesn't work anymore. It changed the brightness rather than oppacity.
How to change this light leak oppacity?
Thanks.

If you want a more subtle blend mode you can use Screen. This blendmode makes colors not exceed 1.0 and is overall softer. If you're not adding light in a linear space this typically looks nicer.

However, regarding Add, I'm not seeing this issue on my system when lowering opacity.
I'm on Resolve 18.1 build 16 Windows.
