audio stop and go in fairlight

PostThu Feb 02, 2023 9:01 am

Hello,

I browsed the forum without finding any solution.
If i go into Fairlight, the playback is weirg. It stops and go. It's impossible to play a whole track or record as the cursor stops and go. While it stops, there is no input or output possible.
It has never worked properly. Impossible from the very beginning.

I have no problems in the EDIT windows, i can add audio tracks, play, move, render, without any issues.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Is this behaviour present with both the ASIO driver and WDM?

When this recurs, please generate diagnostics logs: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190#16

Please share a link to the logs (e.g. via WeTransfer or Dropbox).

Thank you for your reply.

i've found out that everything works fine with clips created with my GH5. In the Edit window or in Fairlight.
The problems occurs with clips coming from OBS Studio or any other Video Screen Capture software, and only in Fairlight. Everything is smooth in Edit.

ASIO is well installed. Problem happens with ASIO and WDM.

Am i really the only one to experience this ?

Thank you in advance.

For screen capture you intend to edit, hardware recorders are best.

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
