Bouncing track with Voice Iso fx leads to bad audio

PostMon Feb 06, 2023 10:57 am

Hi all, I've read quite a few posts on here regarding issues with bouncing tracks but couldn't find something similar so here goes -

When I bounce a track which has Voice Isolation fx, the bounced track has parts of the audio missing. Like every third or fourth second there's just no waveform. I've isolated this issue to Voice Iso specifically - once I disable that, regardless of which and how many other Fx (Fairlight and VST, both) there are on the track, bounced track is correct, no missing waveforms.

I'm using Da Vinci Resolve Studio 18.1.3 (latest, as of today) on Macbook Air M1 2020, 256GB/8GB.

I've even tried this on a Linux system with RTX 2070 Super. The result was still the same, problematic.

Please help :(

P.S.: Yes, I could just not use Voice Iso but the finesse with which it reduces noise for some very noisy tracks - think bird noises in background - is unparalleled. For now work around is ofcourse to render and import.

Which bounce method is used?
Bounce Track to New Layer (with Clip FX) or Bounce Mix to Track (with Track FX)?

Any change caching Voice Iso prior to bouncing?

Merging Hapi • Anubis • Premium VAD (3.5.0) ↔︎ Lawo VSC (1.0.0)

I'm using the Bounce Mix to Track method. All Fx I apply are applied track level.

None, unfortunately.

Sorry for the delayed response, I didn't have access to my system to test the caching you suggested.

Any fix to this? I'm having the same problem in DRS v19.1. Using Bounce to Track... and specifying an existing track (overwriting the previous bounce as I make changes).
