No Video Playback on DR 18.1.3 & 18.1.4

PostThu Mar 16, 2023 12:57 pm

Hi, I am currently struggling with Davinci Resolve not playing video (I tried to create a timeline with a color generator and it did not play.

As a result, after researching this forum, I tried the following:
1. deleted graphics driver and installed the latest version.
2. installed older DR version (18.1.3)
3. installed DirectX upgrade.

Unfortunately all did nothing and the problem is always the same. Been sitting on it for 2 days now and I get the feeling that all I can do is wait for a graphics driver update....

I have DR Studio:
GPU: GPU
Radeon RX 570 Series

CPU: CPU
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
6 cores

Thank you very much!
With best regards, Leo

Open the Windows System Information app, and select its File - Save menu, which will create a .NFO file. Send us that.

Hey there, sorry for not posting any System-information, yes it is Windows 10:

I also included the system info.nfo file, but i had to pack it into a .rar, because the .nfo file was to big for this forum.

Your .NFO file is not opening.

Try making it again. And after it's made, double click it and verify it will open in the Windows System Information app.

Open Windows Device Manager, select Display Adapters, right click the LuminonCore IDDCX Adapter and select Disable device and see if that helps.

Hey there, yes, that worked! I used an IPad as an external monitor, seems like that is causing the problems!

Thank you!

Thank you! This helped my problem as well. I disabled the "Parsec Virtual Display Adapter" and kept the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX enabled.

So if anyone else has the same issue... they can try the above as well. This saved me from having to create a new thread and posting up an NFO, although if I have the issue again I certainly will. I didn't want to have to use Adobe Premiere Pro again and wanted to use my studio version of Resolve so I'm grateful for your help Dwain Maggart.

Cheers!
