Just installed Davinci Resolve 18 only black squares

hi Just installed Davinci Resolve 18 only black squares show when i import media ,

does anyone have this same problem too ? I am running AMD Cpu , all my latest drivers are installed working fine .

i tried installing , uninstalling with the same results .

appreciate if anyone can pls advise me on what I should do.

You'll get more help if you offer more info. We'd need system specs, GPU info, a working screenshot, etc.

In the Resolve Help menu, select "Create Diagnostics Log on Desktop"

This will place a Resolve log file named similar to this on your Windows desktop: DaVinci-Resolve-logs-20181228_140434.zip (You may not see the .zip extension if your system is set to hide known extensions).

Then open Windows System Information and do a File - Save (Not a File Export), which will generate a .NFO file.

Place both those files on a file sharing site and provide links to the files here.

If you are a new Forum user, you may not be allowed to post URLs. If this happens, just put a space near the front of the URL, so the system doesn't think it's a URL.

Also make sure the links do not require access credentials.

hi again Dwaine ,
Im having problem with laggy choppy videos when i do playback. at first it seems to work fine.

after a while the program starts lagging and unresponsive.

this is a screen shot when im trying to do work on it . the screen where the video was suddenly goes black and unresponsive .

any idea wht i should do to fix it ?

@Ashley: A .drt file does not help me. As Uli mentioned, to generate a project export .drp file, open the Resolve Project Manager page, right click on the "Untitled Project 11" project and select Export Project.

Also need the dblist.conf file.

OK, there is nothing happening in your project to cause any issues. And your dblist.conf file looks fine.

So I'll assume that the issue is related to the AMD Adrenalin 23.4.2 driver you have installed for your RX580 GPU, which others on the forum have mentioned as causing issues for Resolve.

I'd suggest you download and install the 23.4.1 driver:

When you run the driver installer, select the Factory Reset option, to ensure a clean install of the driver.
